Intensive Russian Strikes Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults overnight. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
